Pretty hard to narrow down my favorite picture book (there are far too many good books), but I'll let you know my husband's favorite: The Big Orange Splot by Daniel Manus Pinkwater. It's a book about not being afraid about being different and following your dreams.

My favorite childrens picture book is the little mouse, the red ripe strawberry and the big hungry bear. My mom read that to all of us over and over and over, and now she's passed copies on to the grand kids! The pictures are gorgeous and it's a fun story.

My favorite children's book is You Are Special by Max Lucado, because it's a book that every child should read to know that they are special, in a society that tells you you're like everyone else it's really important to know this. :) My mother read it to us whenever we had a bad day at school. :)

These look like two wonderful books. I just finished watching a show on Animal Planet about odd animal bonds and one of the odd couples was Owen and Mzee. I thought they were just too cute. And the playful, carefree nature of Duck! Rabbit! reminds me of some of Mo Williams books and I love Mo Williams!

My favorite children's book is Big Pets by Lane Smith. I have always held a special place in my heart for animals so naturally I was drawn to the book. The fact that they were "big" makes them even better!

I follow through GFC. My parents introduced me to reading very young, and I was reading by age 6. Books opened up whole other worlds to me, and I loved mystery books or historical fiction the best. I hope to teach my children the joy of reading also!
